East Brady PA: Stewart family taking in the view of the Narrows at Brady's Bend. The Narrows Overlook displays the wide loop of the Allegheny River, where it can be viewed on both sides of the highway.<br />
This part of the Allegheny River was named Brady's Bend after our great, great, great Uncle Captain Sam Brady. He rescued white settlers being held by the Indians near the banks of the river at Brady's Bend.
