Somerfield PA: Stewart family stopping for lunch at the famous Youghiogheny House. When the Confluence and Oakland Railroad came to Somerfield in 1889, it brought a new era of prosperity. Somerfield became a resort town; President William McKinley, whose brother married into the Endsley family, vacationed at the Endsley House at the turn of the century. A few years later it was enlarged to the Youghiogheny House, a homey hotel that catered to sportsmen.
