After Scott Streiner was injuried on the first play, the team rallied and came up just short of winning the game when they missed a two-point conversion late in the 4th quarter (7-6). Defensive unit was one of the best in Bethel Park history only allowing a little over 7 points a game. The 1970 team had more players winning 4-years scholarships than any other class.
