Mike Stewart suffered a serious knee injury right before halftime when an idiot on Upper St Clair, Lynn Carson, purposely jumped on his leg when he was holding for a field goal. The good news, the 38-yard field goal by Tom Skladany was successful and it was the beginning of Tom's very successful high school, college, and pro career. The defensive unit was one of the best in Bethel Park history only allowing a little over 7 points a game.
