Pittsburgh PA: Futuristic view of the University of Pittsburgh campus. The illustration was created by Deeter Ritchey Architects who had just completed the Litchfield Towers dorms at Pitt.
As you can see, Forbes Field is not in the drawing (bottom right). Pitt purchased Forbes Field from the Pirates in 1957 and agreed to rent it to them until a new stadium was built.
