A collection of photographs highlighting the exploits of four friends leaving Pittsburgh to homestead in Idaho (1909). The Mondell Homestead Act provided a land grant to anyone that wished to live and farm in Idaho. The Gallery illustrates how Brady Stewart and three friends accepted the challenge and tried to make a living north of the Snake River (1909-1912).
